Program wa fast and easy to use. you can switch between question asking and direct form entry. I switched a couple years back because the old program i used became very slow and bloated. I am glad i switched, i have had no issues. My only suggestion is that it was not intuitive how to jump from the form value to the sub form that fed the value in. Ultimately i found the right click. One other suggestion, once i change the location of where i want to store my results, when i open a new return, it goes right back to your default. Allow me to set a directory that sticks for follow on returns i complete.

It works well but if you do more than standard deductions it requires too much knowledge of taxes and requirements. Some of the things that are explained in the instructions on tax paper forms are not clear to a beginner doing their own taxes.

Was pretty easy to use, except for capital gains
on April 24, 2026

I've used the Deluxe version for the past two years. This year was the first year I needed to record a capital gain from a sale of appreciated stock. It was very difficult to see how to do that. I went through my entire return a first time without the automated process asking about stock capital gains. I had to go back to the income section and finally found where it was - still not sure how I missed it the first time. But that is one area I would ask that the developers improve on for next time....that's why I didn't give it 5 stars.

For straight forward tax statements this product is great. I have been using this for a few years with no problems. However this year, had some specific social security issues not addressed by the software.
