It was great except for one thing. There was no ability to link my Charles Schwab 1099 data to your form. I had to input the data myself. To get you five stars like i probably gave you last year, please fill in that gap

Have been using TaxCut for quite a while now, although the user interface does not offer sufficient explanation, I have gotten somewhat familiar with the process and most of the time can drill down into more details using the "forms" and "goto" tools. My only gripe is that you don't offer free e-filing for State, which basically raises the true price of the software. Yes, I can file the State return online for free myself, but just tedious "data entry" duplication! A nuisance, and I may as well skip the State return option to save a little money.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was happy with the ease of my preparation and submission. I have used the product for several years. Today I received an IRS letter informing me that on review the Block software missed $1500 in credits from the Trump tax breaks. I’m thrilled that I didn’t get added charges but disappointed that the software missed it at the time of submission a couple of weeks ago.

Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Been using this app since parson software days, when taxcut bought them out. Software evolved alot over many decades. Easy to use. Import previous years return, a feature that helps me startup my tax season. Five star app but this year missing an import feature for 1099B for Merrill Lynch. Was confounded it had import for many unknown trading firms but missing Merrill. Had to manually enter everything on 1099B. Not fun.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

I bought this program because H & R works on Windows 10 and Turbotax does not. I had only one problem. I was helping my brother fill out his federal return but there was a glitch during the verification process before filing. I couldn't get past it. So I went to your website and filed his taxes online without trouble. He is visually impaired and needed my help.
I filed my own taxes without a problem and e-filed both Federal and State.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

The past two years I have had issues getting past the audit data check phase of filing. Last year 2-3 hours. This year 2 hours. Last year the issue was with imported data so it seemed like you didn’t have control over it but the correction steps were some what confusing.
This year the errors & data checks were on forms entered manually. Multiple forms had the same errors but you only flagged the last one. I fixed it and it kept saying that form was bad!! 2 hours trying to fix the form.
This took me 5 minutes to fix once I figured out the error was on a different 1099-R entry!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
