there should be a warning in the program that the IRS doesn't send checks anymore.....this is a huge miss on your part

Although I frequently use H&R Block Deluxe, I have TO HUNT FOR A COMPETITIVELY priced software every year. Dislike doing this

Not good, you gave me an error because I didn’t sign the form to sign up for a Trump account that I didn’t want. Then it got rejected because I signed the form but didn’t check the box for signing up for it. When it imported a W2 form, it gave me a social security error even though it was correct. I had to manually fill in the form because it wouldn’t let me E-file otherwise
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Everything was fine. My only complaint was not finding out until
AFTER I got done with my state filing that you were going to CHARGE MORE MONEY to file it. I find that deceptive and truly a bad look for HRB. I’d rather pay it at the point of sale than get to the end of my filing and have to cough up MORE MONEY. I will remember this next tax season.

I purchased this desktop software for 2026 after seriously considering TurboTax. My impressions: the AI chatbot is near useless, luckily I had ChatGPT Plus for that. The software it itself feels old - even the resolution of the forms and the inability to resize the screens so the graphics scale (they don't) feels aged. Deduction Pro worked great, and the software in general did not crash while I used it.
Pros: Fast
