Very good program that I have been using for over 15 years. Electronic filing for state returns too costly. Purchasing additional states is also too high.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

As usual, generally good. Had one perplexing problem. I had cashed in an investment with an insurance company and received a 1099-R showing total amount paid, then taxable amount (hopefully, capital gains). OK on Federal. But New Jersey wanted to tax the total received and ignored the taxable amount, thereby showing and taxing a much higher NJ total income. My solution was to place the taxable amount in both fields of the 1099-R on my Federal return, thus giving the correct taxable amount for NJ. Does NJ have a different rate for capital gains. Don't think I got that. What else could I have done?
