I have always used H&R Block to do my taxes and also do my kids taxes.
This year, because of the new bill that was passed "no tax on tips" I needed a little more assistance and had a question. The only access I had for help was with AI, which was not able to answer any of my questions.
In the past, I have been able to speak with a human/tax expert for quick questions but this year that was not made available to me. I spent an hour or more on Google trying to figure out what to do with my son's W2 which had all of his wages in box 1 and tips were not separated. I can only hope I did this correctly on the software as there was little to no guidance on what to do in this situation. I felt let down that there was no human help and AI was not helpful in any way.

The program was continually asking me to download updates- a bit frustrating to work with.
Finally got to a point where I could complete and send to the IRS.

The software is easy to negotiate. I’ve used it for years. However, the font is quite small and there isn’t any way to change it. If you’re of a certain age, reading glasses are required.
