I had difficulty finding where to enter brokerage fees. The search eventually got me there but it could have been more simple than it was

Great program

This program is clean, easy to follow and move around in. If you need to make changes to a previous item it is easy to get back to that spot. No annoying ads or upselling to distract you from concentrating on your tax return data which is sooooo very important! It steps you through questions that remind you of items you might have forgotten you qualify for, or must include.
Pros: Maximizes refund
I would recommend this to a friend!

Confusing

The software response stated that the person was not entitled to the child tax credit, however, the print out showed the box was checked for the child tax credit. I checked the head of household and the print out showed head of household and the block for MFS was also checked which was an error. The person is not married. Recommend adding a print preview to the save as feature so we don't waste time printing it out.

Importing data from both Fidelity and Schwab had repeated errors. The software would correctly import the individual transactions but would then provide a completely wrong number as the net gain/loss for those transactions. Sometimes the wrong number(s) are copies of the net gain/loss from other imported transactions. This ended up with manually having to enter a lot of data as the software didn't seem to allow us to change just the net gain/loss.

I've used this software many years in a row, but this year will be my last. I was unable to electronically file my return because an error indicated that my last year's AGI was incorrect or my pin did not match. This info was imported from my previous years return. I corrected the error according to the software instructions and the results were the same, the IRS rejected my federal return several more times. Paid twice to file my state return and it was put on hold because of the federal rejection. Have to mail my returns this year because of this error. I will use free software from this point on.
