After completing my federal return I decided to purchase the state return and only after paying for finding that I could not download it. I tried to get help online but could get an actual person to talk to and the canned responses on the help line weren't helpful. So here am a couple days out from the deadline scrambling to figure how to get my state taxes completed.
After using H&R software for over 10 years I am considering using Turbotax next year.

The only issue I had this year was the inability to enter 'NRA' (Non-Resident Alien) in the SSN field for my Swedish spouse.
I am a dual US/Swedish citizen with a Swedish spouse filing Married/Separate taxes.
SSN only allows numeric entry, which forces me to print and mail to IRA.

The product is easy to use and makes doing taxes simple. If you have a straight forward tax situation this is a good choice. I wish that it was clear though that even with buying the state bundle you still have to pay more to actually electronically file your state taxes. Why not include that cost in the package but no it is reveal after submitting your electronic federal return.
