For the most part, everything was fine. Then I tried to put in the account number and routing number for my savings account on the Colorado State Farms, and I could not get that to work. As a result, I could not file that electronically and I ended up having to stand in line at the post office to get it mailed to Colorado Department of revenue. So I think you failed on that. For all the good things you did you certainly blew it on that.

I receive income unevenly throughout the year and pay quarterly taxes as they are owed, not in equal payments. For years your software has incorrectly indicated that I do not owe a penalty, despite my completing the 2210 questionnaire. I have learned to complete the quarterly income section of Form 2210 regardless. At that point, if I still owe a penalty, it will calculate it correctly.
This year for the first time it entered an incorrect prior year AGI figure for electronic submission of my tax return. I could not determine the source this number. I replaced it with the correct number from my 2024 return and my return was accepted.
Otherwise everything works as well as TurboTax, from which I switched due to the higher price.

I have been doing my personal income tax myself for about 50 years. And for about 25 or more years I have used the H&R software. I don't have a business, so I use the Deluxe plus state software. For the last 20 years I have been retired, don't receive W-2 forms, but do receive multiple 1099 forms. the 1099s are from social security, pension, and retirement accounts. I also receive 1099s for dividends, interest, and capital gains. The latter increases the complication and significantly increases the amount of time if the returns were done manually. The worksheets alone take a considerable time. With the software the time is reduced considerably.
The complication, I address it by reviewing the results and the system generated worksheets. I e-filed both returns. The process was fairly simple and received my refunds within two weeks.
Overall, the use of the software and the H&R E-file process assured my confidence that my returns were accurate. I was highly satisfied with the H&R Block 2025 Software

Feels like H&R does the minimum updates each year

Three out of the last four years, it had a software bug. One of them was the same two years in a row.
This year it kept telling me to update my state, even though there was nothing available. I even called your support 800 number. No California update available. Most annoying.
Pros: Easy to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
