Despite my attempts to communicate my issue, no solution worked to solve it. Updates to the desktop software deleted my state return.

I have been using H&R Block Deluxe Software for many years. I have had accountants go over my taxes once I completed them. All I can say is that 98% of the time (over the years) the software has been very accurate. I will continue to use it, and I highly recommend it. It's so easy and self-guided!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents

I keep threatening to ditch H&R Block for a human, and I think I'll be doing just that for 2026.
I had to reinstall Windows 11 which meant that I had to reinstall H&R Block. I had completed both federal & state and saved the file prior to having to reload Windows 11.
I was trying to print Federal forms necessary to file my state taxes (I owed), but this turned into a. Although H&R Block had all of my federal info, the print option wouldn't display federal as an option for printing.
I guess I'll have to run through my entire Federal filing just so I can print the necessary federal forms to file my state taxes. It shouldn't be this difficult.
Of course this is just the problems I've experienced this tax season. It's my fault for thinking H&R Block would read my feedback and use it to improve their shitware. H&R Block is no more useful than the free tax software, but I need something that can deal with more than a 1040EZ tax situation.

I’ve been using HR Block tax software since the late 90s and I will continue to use it in the future.. it’s simple and gives tax tips for each entry and with the ability to save and restart return.. I do my taxes in 1 hr blocks.. not overwhelming for me doing it this way
