unfortunately Bank of America/Merrill was not able to be imported this year. It was a colossal pain to do it manually and made me question why I do my taxes instead of taking them somewhere.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

In this case, it incorrectly treated a state refund as withholding, requiring manual correction and a reset of the state return. Overall, it is a solid tool for straightforward returns but requires careful review and user awareness when dealing with more advanced or nuanced tax situations.

Easy to use but foreign tax credit is confusing

This is about H&R Block Deluxe. Easy and straight forward to use except for one thing. I had foreign taxes paid that were input into the program. I did not see anything about a tax credit for this and I thought this was the way it was supposed to be. So, I went to file and the program would not let me file until I filled in a few boxes. One of the boxes was for the foreign tax paid. I filled it in and my refund went up 700%. I'm very happy with the result, but I don't understand the machinations that made this happen. Overall, very satisfied with the product and I will not hesitate to use it again.
