Not happy we could not resolve 1099 imports from Merrill. I spent two calls and more than an hour with Block reps and even had my case escalated. I purchased this product for the last 10 years for purpose of importing this data. I’m disappointed with this matter. Otherwise, the product worked well for me.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Worked well in general. Switched to HRB this year because turbotax did not support windows 10 and their online version was widely thought to be abominable.
I had one problem when I switched a small NEComp income from business to hobby.
Your software flagged it as an error yet would not let me correct it.
However all the information was there and your software let me efile even though it thought it was wrong.
Filed and accepted. no refund yet but it will hopefully be OK.

I have been using Kipplinger TaxCut and now H&R Block Deluxe for 35 years. During those years the complexity of our Federal & Multi-state taxes have varied widely. As I learned so did the software. Last year I looked into having them done by a CPA. After meeting and review we continued with H&R Deluxe. This is the first year that we filed online. The process was well defined and intuitive. No reason to change... highly recommend.
