I had to file a deceased return do to the passing of my brother-in-law. The previous five years I have given five stars to H&R. The program did not do the required 1310. It did not carry info to the Indiana but gave an info box saying I had to write the info. Electronic filing was not possible because the program did not prompt to attach the required pdf documentation after telling me I would need to do this. Doing my personal return the program did not catch a box16 left blank on a1099R. The error shows up with an error on the Indiana return. I had to go back to the federal to put the amount in the box. I feel the quality of the program is down this year.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Verification process needs CLOSE button to be more visible. going back and forth between Next and Back trying to complete verification eventually turned my refund into a deficit. Fortunately, I make backups and was able to recover.
Cons: Time consuming

I’ve used H&R Block tax software for years and appreciate the ease of use. The carryover of information from year to year eases the need to renter the same information; the grouping of topics follows a 1040 making organizing information easier.

Third year I have used H&R and it stays consistently well designed. Only cmplaints are fotsize: program only uses 1/4 of screen -- have to aquint, Also colrs not user friendly

Soft ware is easy to use, but my son has has issues x 3 years and has not gotten his refund. At present time had to print his 2024 taxes and mail them in and 2025 was rejected. Had we gotten notice in 2023 there was a problem we could have avoided lots of headaches
