I switched over after years of using Turbo Tax so there was a bit of a learning curve to go through. All said and done, I will use H&R in the future as long as they keep it as easy as it is presently.

Had an issue that almost cost me almost $400 on my arkansas return. The software could not correct a problem the error checker found. The implication was that I file a paper return or correct manually to file and save $400.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm retired, got all done entering my pension IRA'S, 401k, dividends, RMD's, and interest. Owed zero taxes. Then I entered my Socicial Security then I owed money. I looked and looked and finally found it. It is very to go backb harlf once a person does a final check.
Pros: Easy to prepare

It worked for a standard return but doesn't work correctly for a return of a deceased individual. The return was rejected by the IRS twice stating that I was not the court appointed representative. However on the 1310 form option B was selected which designates I am the legal representative. Also the software requested I upload the probate order from the court which I did. Trying to print the entire return to mail in didn't work either. The forms stopped print after schedule B. Calling support provided no solution
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
