I use this product every year and have been very happy with it. I wouldn't mind an easier way to prepare my amended state return, though--it took me several tries to stop going in a circle with it. I tried using the AI to find out what I was doing wrong but it couldn't answer any of my questions and gave me no options to speak to a human. Eventually I gave up, walked away, and came back a few hours later. I answered the questions the same way as before, but this time it worked. There was some kind of glitch that eventually worked itself out.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall helpful. There was an odd bug for me when inputting my W-2s. When I input the second of my w-2s, ftom a non-qualified plan, the software altered data that I had input into my first w-2. Also, moments after I e-filed, I got a strange email saying that my returned could not be submitted and that I needed to call a phone number to complete the process. The status indicated the return was pending, and then was accepted not long after.

Generally excellent but still with a significant flaw, just like the 2024 tax programs -- DUPES USER INTO CREATING AN IRS PIN, AND HIDING THE REAL LOCATION ELSEWHERE IN THE PROGRAM. This delayed both acceptance of my Federal & state, two years running. How hard could it be to fix a simple entry that causes your returns to be rejected?

Cons: Hard to import documents

always room for improvemnt

works well for the most part. however some of the 1099s can't be read in electronically so i would like this software to be able to read data from PDFs

Would not download Merrill data this year. Not goo

Used it for years but would not download my tax data from Merrill this year. Called them and they said they no longer worked with Merrill lynch. Not good, had to enter data manually. Will not use it next year unless fixed.

Calculation of estimated taxes for next year is very complicated. I'm an investor .... I have no idea what the markets will do. Yet I need to guess at the future and pay cash out of my holdings or I will get slapped with a penalty. Just does not seem right.
