Very Good except K-1 explanations

Bought the software over the internet in November , 2025 . Was hard to launch the program . Needed assistance . First year having the issue . I also struggled with the K1 explanations why the input was not complete .
Pros: Easy to import documents

much better than the free irs software. the irs software worked ok but wasnt user friendly and could get strange. the submission process was quite awkward. bordering on strange.

Product does a good job of importing info from prior year for federal portion, but not so much for state portion. Also, it should know that I used an IP PIN for my federal return the prior year, but it did not and I missed that question since it was buried as one checkbox question in a list of like 10 other questions during the last portion of the federal section. After my federal return was initially rejected since I did not include my IP PIN, the pop-up message in the program told me to go to the misc. section and check that box off, but it was difficult to find. The program should provide me a link to take me specifically to that section of the interview process.
Also, the Planning section is pretty useless. At the least, it should give me the option to automatically import numbers from my current return as a starting point, and walk me through making any adjustments to those numbers.

Mostly worked well but ran into a bug with foreign tax credit. The software correctly carried the foreign tax from my 1099 to line 8 of form 1116, but entered a zero for line 9 (line 9 says enter the amount from line 8).
I had to overwrite the entry to get the foreign tax to carry thru to line 35. Then during review - "overwrite of line 9 not allowed". After removing the overwrite in line 9 and re-running step-by-step ...... line 9 on form 1116 showed up with the correct amount. If I had not been persistent in getting form 1116 to be correct, I would have lost out on a substantial tax credit. The final review steps never caught that form 1116 had an error.
