H&R Block Software is not complete - no Form 8911

My 2025 Tax refund using H&R Block software is $875 less than when filing my taxes with FreeTaxUSA. The reason for this difference is that H&R Block does not support Form 8911 in their software anymore. After purchasing and using your software to do my taxes, I noticed that there wasn’t anywhere to claim the tax credit for the installation costs of my home EV charger (Form 8911). This created a lot of frustration and work on my part. First I had to search H&R Block to find out you dropped Form 8911 support for tax year 2025. Next I had to search for a tax software that did support Form 8911. Then I had to re-enter all my tax information, including data from previous tax year carryovers, etc. into the new tax software. And finally I had to prepare a letter requesting a full refund of the purchase price because your tax software is not complete, resulting in less than the maximum refund I am entitled to. Both tax software programs had the same tax refund amount, except for the $875 Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit (Form 8911). I have been using your software for over 10 years and I am very disappointed that a form like 8911, that can be worth hundreds of dollars in tax credits, was not included. Other tax software companies, like FreeTaxUSA and Turbo Tax include Form 8911, so it’s technically possible to write the software to include it. Without it your software is subpar and is an incomplete product that shouldn’t have been released. Fortunately my son in law told me about the EV Charger Installation tax credit, so I was looking for it. Had I not known about it your software would have cost me $875. How many other loyal H&R Block customers missed out on this tax credit because they trusted your software was complete?
