Bought software to continue using it on a Mac PC. Doing mighty strange things because Mac PC is at maximum level for software updates. Switch to Windows 11 and all is fine. Submitted return to IRS. Love the tracking feature after submission.

I've been using the HRB tax software since 1996 when it was called Taxcut. Never had any issues. Glad it allows free federal filing. Only suggestion is to include free state filing too. Seems stupid that I should pay the state to accept the e-file since it saves them money to receive it that way!

Second Purchase in same tax season was the Charm

I purchased this product early bird. Unfortunately I also purchased a rebuilt laptop (my original wouldn't accept windows 11). I tried to download the product and it failed so I attempted to download on my other laptop and it failed. Apparently, after the 6th attempt it locked me out and literally challenged me to explain myself. So, I re-purchased the product and everything I downloaded on the new laptop the first time. Go figure.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Software glitches too frustrating & Time Sucker

For the second year in a row the software updates did not update just created a loop need to update This year after going to software update site and downloading the file designated for my package, the update disabled my state and told me to buy the state ( when I had already purchased the deluxe + state software) . After reinstalling again I was back in the loop conundrum. At that point I just filed the fed taxes and gave up on using the program to file my state return I did not buy the software to go through all that rigmarole My time is too valuable! After 15 years I’m moving on to something else

I have used H&R Block software in the past and been able to import my tax statements from my Financial Adviser. This year they were not on the list and I could not figure out how to import them. Why do you make things so difficult.
