As a user of TurboTax for many years I found that their current software doesn't support Windows 10. Went with Block instead.
Cons: Hard to prepare

Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents

I had difficulty with the new changes. I never found out how to print a 1040ES voucher. It did not list in the forms and i couldnt figure out how to print them from the 1040ES form

I bought the 2025 Tax processing software a few months ago, and I was very happy with it through performing my filing. It was very user friendly. There were a couple of things that I had to rectified, such as manually going back to the form to enter my IRS filing PIN. I would have expected the program to prompt to asked me if I had a PIN or even if my spouse had such a PIN. It did not prompted to asked me for such a PIN. All in all, it was a sensible purchase, and it provided the Fed Tax filing assistance that I have sought. Thanks

We've been using the H&$ Block Deluxe +State program for the past few years. It is easy to understand and basically walks you through everything you need to decide if you wan to itemize or take standard deduction. We save the money it would have cost us to take our taxes to be filed to an outside source.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Used for a few years. Straightforward, 'search' was useful to find certain data I wanted to make sure I addressed. Appreciated the fact that I did not have to save everything in the cloud unless I wanted to. A few items that came up during the process were unfamiliar to me. I appreciated the information, just wish I had understood the topic better after reading the information provided. Had trouble skipping the social security income section; I don't have any social security income. I never did figure out what the glitch was.
