Have used H&R for years. This year was a disaster. The program required an update to efile. After paying the cc charge and doing the update, it locked my return and I couldn't open it. Worked with your tech folks and it got erased. I had to re do my taxes and this happened twice. Finally after 2 more weeks and updates, I was able to reload the last return I did and saved with a thumbdrive. Sent it. I completed the return on both my desktop and laptop with the same problems.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I experienced difficulties on loading the program. I had to put it on my iPhone and then send it to my tablet. Also, my attempts to load it were counted as loaded and I got a message saying that I didn’t have any more emails situations.

Illinois e-file return free of charge

It would be nice if we would have the Illinois e-file return free of charge, just like the Federal return is. Everything is online and you can't trust the USPS.
