Love the Federal but the State (CO) is not great. State is difficult to use for donation, credits, and ancillary forms needed. Furthermore, so many things have to be copied and included that I simply avoid and mail the form (and inclusions).
Pros: Easy to prepare

Been using H&R Block Software for Years

I've used H&R Block tax software for years because I believe their software ensures I the user have considered all items pertinent to my yearly tax return, the process of downloading/installing the software is pretty simple, updates of the software are automatic, the process of checking my taxes once I've entered all my information is pretty straightforward, submitting my federal and state tax returns electronically is as easy as it gets, and the tax program appears to offer adequate security throughout the process.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Software walked me thru the process of data gathering relatively easily, however, some of the income questions were nebulous to me. For interest income, a heading of 1099-INT would be helpful, as there are other 1099 forms that can not go into the 1099-INT income category, which I was not aware of.

Long Time User Deeply Disappointed

As a long time user of this product (since 1996!), I am deeply disappointed that the organization is releasing Federal software updates as late as April 3rd, 2026. I am traveling out of the country prior to the tax deadline and I need to file my taxes. I am rolling the dice filing my taxes using the March 27th update.
I was in IT for 43 years, this late update cadence is ridiculous for a firm in your product space. Don't blame it on the government. Fix your development processes.
You just lost me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
