Does not support form

This is the second year in a row that the software does not support a form I need. Must add the form to paper return and edit totals on other forms. Return then can not be e-filed.
Cons: Hard to prepare

Lots of bugs

I have been using Taxcut for many years and been very happy with it but this years version has been nothing but trouble. It failed to record my W2 wage statement and when I finally got it to accept it the income was reported under Other Income. I foolishly didn't physically check my return before efiling and thus had to file an amended return. That is another story as I filed what I hope is my amended return with the 1040X but am not sure that was done by the program. Thus far I have received no notice that the IRS has accepted that return!!
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Didn't have to upgade OS or PC.

I switched from Turbo Tax because Intuit is not concerned about customer needs - only their bottom line and possibly intercorporate back scratching. I see them moving to an on line only platform and I prefer to have the software on my PC and store info there and no where else. If I can't do that I'll switch to a tax Accountant.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Auto update needs work

like the software but the auto-update process needs work. Had to open case to get links that let me update the application by myself. have reported this issue in past years, but still not resolved. need to have instructions in your FAQ about to do this rather than trying to deal with the chatbot and finally a live agent.

Printing should keep schedules so they start on new page. Otherwise very useful app.

I already shared your software performance in a detailed Survey completed for you 5 weeks ago. Your software allowed a mistake that your software caused and did not check prior to efile of my Federal Income Taxes. This caused a prompt rejection by the IRS. Get your act together as I have trusted your software for 15 to 20 years now and I am EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED. That you continue to ask me an additional three to four times since I already submitted a detail description of the problem with your software is just another example of how out of control your software and correspondence is. DO NOT BOTHER ME WITH ANY MORE SURVEY REQUESTS WHEN YOU DO NOT READ THE ONES ALREADY SUBMITTED TO YOU! DO NOT BOTHER ME AGAIN!!!
