Software That Helps Remove the Stress of Taxes

I have used H&R Block tax software for a number of years. I find it easy to use, or as easy as doing taxes can be! This year was more complicated as I was required to take out money from my IRAs due to my age as well as cope with the loss of my wife. The extra senior deduction was also automatically applied. The ability for it to pull in information from the previous year forms makes it much easier.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

Some disappointment this year , my ninth year using the program. According to the IRS in reporting the cost basis for non-covered securities I should file form 8949, but the program does not have this form. Using Just Answer was fruitless.

I have been using your tax software for many years. Probably before it got named tax cut. I used it again for my 2025 returns and it went fairly smoothly. One thing that always happens every year it gives me a warning at the end that if someone has died then you need to do these other things. But there’s nothing in my form that says anything about anybody being deceased. I also had to look at my saved 2024 return to see how or where the estimated overpayment of taxes would be. It didn’t come up automatically as it should because that particular function was used last year also.

Your software had a glitch that summarized my short term gains, but did not allow the review of the individual trades. When I called for help, the individual blamed the broker, but all the information from the broker was in the software, it just wasn’t processed to the summary.
Cons: Time consuming
