I've been using a version of this software for over twenty years. I like the way access to the actual forms. I do not like the limited help with jargon-filled questions and references, with ambiguous "more info" displays. I often found myself using a Google search instead.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

Gets the Job Done

Seems to do all that's necessary for me, a retiree receiving pensions and Social Security. The interview is wordy, and in some cases it isn't clear why the questions are being asked. The handling of QCDs is unclear, and it handled Michigan municipal bond income incorrectly on my Michigan return.
Cons: Time consuming

I wish there was a more simpler one for seniors citizens that use the short form. I go through so many pages of questions not knowing is they apply to us. Gets confusing at times. All we have is SS, retirement, and little interest income. No deductions anymore.

As always, a valuable resource. But it was annoying when I updated the Federal and it set the state to zero refund. Need a warning (in big letters) when a change to the Federal return is made.
