I have used HR Block's tax program for at least 15 years. It is convenient. I had problems when I tried to do my daughter's taxes (she lives permanently in Denmark), but now her income/taxes are so complicated that she uses a specialist.

I always used Turbo Tax until I found out that my version Windows 10 was not compatible. H&R was more difficult to read and follow then I was use to. I redid the whole taxes three times. So categories were difficult to follow. It was OK and I got the job done with not having to pay any extra taxes this year...Thank you President Trump.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm only sorry I didn't start using this years ago. Honestly, I only switched from TurboTax because it no longer worked on Windows 10, but once I started using H&R, I found it to be even more user friendly and very simple to navigate. I'll be using it every year!

This is either the 5th or 6th year I have done my own taxes using this program. It is pretty much user friendly unless you have something that is not the norm. Sometimes I have to read the question several times, That is not because of the program, it is because I want to make sure I understand exactly what information to input. I will continue to use this.
