I have used the Deluxe version for several years. I really like the upload capability for the Investment data. It puts it in the right place and just needs to be verified.

I was charged twice for the filing fee. Im not sure why.. but that was disappointing. I had to fix something and the software also needed a software update. It would not allow me make any revisions unless i updated it . When i did it made me pay the fee again. I never received that money back.

Absolutely the worst!

Bought Mac version with state included. As a retired person with 1099R income, program changes box 1 amount on 1099R every time you add subsequent 1099R’s. Health insurance, form 1095A entries which create form 8962, results change depending on order they were entered. When I start my daughters return, when I use guide me in order to mark one child who her ex-husband is allowed to claim per agreement, the program changes the first child’s first name.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I used this software last year to file taxes, and it seemed to go through fine. But this year, no so much! Of the (4) taxes I did on it (mine and family members); (2) would not go through at all "waiting for updates"; mine went through easily as I am very low income, owed no taxes, and wasn't getting a return; and my senior Aunt's went through on 2/14/26 but she is still waiting for her return. For whatever reason, the IRS has continued delaying approving her return. Not sure if they found errors? We just followed H&R Block's guidance and answered the questions. Very weird! The (2) tax returns that wouldn't go through at all with H&R Block; we ended up processing those in TurboTax and it went right through, and those returns were received fairly quickly. I think something was really wrong with your software this year! I will probably not purchase it again next year. Wish I could get a refund on the purchase. :-(
