I’ve used H&R Block tax preparation software for several years. I find it to be quite easy to use. The step-by-step filing process is fantastic and the Help information is really great. Also, I particularly like the Audit feature of the software. It prevents one from submitting a tax return with erroneous information.

I am a first-time user of H&R Block tax software. I previously used TurboTax but made the switch when the latest edition of TurboTax required Windows 11. Also, the Deluxe version of H&R Block had everything I needed to complete my tax return. TurboTax required that I use their Premier edition to complete my tax return. The H&R Block software allowed me to import my last year's tax return, was easy to navigate, offered clear directions, and was easy to input information. The text was not always easy to read; it was small and somewhat blurry. The text should be a larger size and sharper. Saving a PDF of the tax return was sometimes challenging. When I did save it, the entries looked faded, although readable.

I've been a user of the H&R Block Tax Software for more than 10 years. I'm happy with the product, as evidenced by my continued use. However, most every year there seems to be one thing that is irritating. This year, when I completed my federal entries the software indicated no issues and when I completed my state entries the software indicated no issues. I assumed I was ready to proceed to the submission phase. Then in the middle of the submission phase I'm told that I cannot e-file because of a missing entry. Why wasn't this missing entry identified as a problem earlier in the process?
Pros: Easy to prepare
