Used this software for many years and every year the download has been improved and the software is more transparent with clear background info and instructions at each step. Efiling has always been great. My only complexity in filing is a foreign government pension.

First time this year that I had an issue with the software. Not sure what the issues was but a couple of fields that I entered data seemed to change randomly. Luckily I caught the issue when I going over the return and fixed it. I initially thought that I had mistakenly typed the information but it happened a second time so I know it wasn't me. Anyhow, I closed out the program and the correct data seemed to 'hold'.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents

I always used Turbo Tax but with the new system requirements for desktop I could not this year. I thought it was going to be a hassle changing but it was seamless. All turbotax information carried over using the H&R desktop tax version. My only complaint is the missing City tax forms that turbotax includes.
