Great for simple / non-business taxes. The issues.i had related to forms / worksheets not being deleted automatically as I changed information in the interview - it got very confusing. With the taxes I prepared for a non-busoness filing it was great!

Wrong forms submitted for deceased mother’s tax re

The software you used to process my deceased
mother’s tax return told me to fill out the wrong form. As a result, it has been delayed.
We were contacted by IRS,
and after speaking to an agent, we were told to submit an IRS Form 56 instead of the Form 1310. We had to fax that to the IRS, and now do not know when the return will be completed. We submitted the original tax return on 2 Feb.

Cannot print correctly with the Mac version. I had to download the software to a borrowed pc in order to print out my documents. Printing to PDF doesn’t work either. Reading online reviews shows that this issue has existed for years with no fix.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The software is really showing it's age, the interface needs updated. How the imports work for DIV / INT is not that great and it will duplicate items. The tax calculated on Stock sales form imports from E-trade is wrong and you can get taxed twice on some things. The in application AI needs to be retired it's just a bad search engine for terms nothing really more helpful than that.
Summary: This product is stuck in the early 2000's and really doesn't do much to earn the purchase or provide a reason to stay with H&R Block over TurboTax. I'm also probably an idiot for not leveraging an modern AI to do the forms and just mailing stuff out.
