I have used H&R Block for many years. I tried another once and went back to you! The program is pretty easy to follow with ways to get questions answered if you have a problem. I have only had a mistake once which was the program’s mistake. I did owe money but never understood how the question was answered wrong.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

I have been using H&R software to do my taxes for many years (decades.) Overall I am happy with it and it has worked well with investments and stocks. It has gotten a bit more complicated in recent years and has taken more time to do, but it has not been a problem. The AI assistant is kind of a joke. I find it difficult to get an accurate answer on questions and end up going to Google. Overall I am satisfied and will continue to use it.

Interview questions are going down hill. They refer you more and more to irs publications. I might as well research this myself, what do I need your software for if I have to lookup irs rules. Also, certain forms not ready until March. Not all MI state forms included so can't efile.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
