Minnesota M1PR locked to soon

I give a three star because of the error in logic when filing and preparing Minnesota's Homestead Credit refund.M1PR.
To file Federal and State you also need to fill out Minnesota's M1PR. Because the state sends out the final Statement mid March there may be changes from the Proposed Statement that needs to be filled in before the Federal and State can be filed. so the amounts are proposed and may be different that the actual taxes due sent out mid March. All forms are locked so the M1PR can not be edited if there are changes as there is with mine. Ten Dollar difference in my case but none the difference because the form can not longer be edited if Federal and Stated are filed. The M1PR should not be locked when filing Federal and Stated forms early. Early means before mid March.

Buggy software with changes to certain Fed forms not carrying over to State w/out manually deleting and recreating them...makes you wonder what else is broken. Poor prompts and explanations regarding rent and royalty entry, and once again I find myself wasting large amounts of time calculating manual deductions only to find the standard is better. Why can't you simply throw warnings periodically to show "you'll need $$$ more deductions to make this worthwhile" rather than making people go through the entire range of entries to find out it was a complete waste?!!

Very confusing when I went to amend a tax return after somehow when we filed my daughters it did not pick up that she was not claiming herself and we had to resubmit ours manually. It should be smart enough to ask those questions or prompt us when filing multiple returns in the family

Every year I have a problem with your Mac program . The free state download sends me to a pay wall . This year I spent 2 hours trying on phone to get it to work .also program does not up date on safari. Last year figured this out and sent it notification and they didn’t fix this year . I don’t want to but next year turbo tax .
