Have used the Block software for many years and very pleased with the way it works. Unfortunately, I purchased a new computer in the past year and it required me to load all the personal data and account details versus having them repopulate into the program. No big deal, but just a little more effort.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Need a qualified dividend tabulation worksheet. The most important worksheet that almost everyone needs, the tax computation worksheet, is difficult to find. It needs to be more prominent with a link from the tax value.

I have used HR Block for about 2 decades now. This is the worst experience I have ever had. I bought a State and Federal plan together and at the end still had to pay for the State. I think next year my son, daughter, and I are all going to see what else is out there.

KY forms confusing

The Federal part was simple; however the Kentucky part is confusing with all the reading included. The "USE" tax section is confusing (fingers crossed on that). Then at the end of the state input, an error shows up that 9 digits are needed for the state code in the 1099-R forms. That should have been automatically corrected in the input screen!
Cons: Time consuming
