I’ve used this software for about three years now, and overall am very happy. This year, however, data entered did not populate the1099 income worksheet. Therefore, the field for Schedule E did not populate. This also did not show up in the accuracy review. Had I not noticed, the return would’ve been filed incorrectly. I did place a call; however, the agent was not a tax professional and could only advise there were no upcoming fixes for the issue. Making clear, concise information about assistance would be helpful— and I’m not just talking AI help a real person please.

1040-SR leaves MUCH to be desired.

1.Program does not indicate any way to declare that a spouse died during the tax year. Does not indicate anyway to send a death certificate as required by the IRS
2. 1040-ES does not work when switching from married filing joint to single due to death of spouse. Cannot estimate my required tax payments for FY2026
3. 1040-ES is not final but no indication of when the update will be made.
4. ForeignTax Credit form instructions are not useful and difficult to do this correctly.

Everything consistent EXCEPT was unable to import 1099 info from Merrill Lynch whereas the last decade + it was possible - please add this back in for 2026 version!
