I found the screen size to be difficult to work in. There were several glitches as well. “Other income” was duplicated when it pulled into the state form. At the end, some forms I didn’t need to file printed with forms to file and others I needed failed to print. All of this created additional work to resolve the issues.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Could not load software a second time on another computer. Got an error message that said I’ve reached the maximum downloads, but I only downloaded it once. Other than that the program was easy to use to file taxes.

I have been using H&R Block tax software for years. It’s easy to use. Our taxes have become more simple after 2017. Thanks to the new tax laws, the standard deductions are so high, we do not have to worry about itemizing. This makes things even easier. And our refunds are much higher!!! Love it.

I purchased this a few weeks ago and was surprised that it was able to extract some data from a previous TurboTax file. Two things did not go as expected. 1) I cannot figure out how to close the program after saving it without just shutting down and rebooting my Mac. 2) I was unable to extract some 1099 data from my bank so had to enter it manually. Had this occurred for all of the 1099's it would have been a big issue.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had to do all updates via manual process

been using hr for few years. this year, their update software didn't seem to work properly so had to the fed and state every week. pain in the butt but did it. opened a ticket but did not appear they fixed the issue. also, the readme for the update does not list what is being updated.
Cons: Time consuming
