If there was a warning not to file until all updates had been loaded, I would be a lot happier. As it is, I am waiting for the final update to activate my soft ware so I can complete my file. I hope the Mar 6th update will allow me to make and save entries in the software. The software reload was successful but I am unable to save the file at this time.

Took a little while to get used to it, but it was then OK. However, I filed State with Virginia that has a $40,000 military retired pay exemption. There was NO mention of it in the program - so I just had to add it in!!!!!! Then after going thru the entire State program, the program said that if I had a CS form (to get a refund) that I could NOT E file!!. Pleas tell that up front to the user. Otherwise it was OK
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare

First time using H&R Block Deluxe software. Decided to try this since I'm still using Windows 10 and the "other" popular company download now requires Windows 11. Had no trouble adjusting to H&R Block's environment, except for confusing directions regarding RMD's not experienced with the other software (our tax returns use standard deduction, not complicated). Once getting past the RMD section, completed the returns (state and federal) without problems and filed successfully.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

I was ver¥ disappointed in the software this time around. There was a lot of confusion of data across a number of categories. For example, the names of my children were confused so that both sons were given the same name. Certain numbers from accounts were entered but then replaced with data from another entry. The total of what we owed or were to be refunded changed with each correction - from owing $400 to getting a $22,000 refund. The corrections caused me to redo my taxes at least 3 times. I have no confidence in the final total. I doubt I will use this software next year -even though I have used H&R Block for many years. I am very frustrated.
