Nj State tax return did not contain the forms built in that I needed. I had to struggle through a website and take my chances.

It works! Did my taxes, Fed & State, and no problems. Been using it for 11 years now. The only complaint I have is if I import my txf file from Quicken, I seem to get 2 entries, one with financial data (but not source info.) and one with the title (or source) info and no financial data. Don't know why they it can't create one entry with both the source data and finance data. This has always irritated me.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

The interest entry sheet for bonds still does not wok correctly. Necessary to make a fake entry to get it to account for accrued interest properly. It also did not appear to handle tax exempt interest correctly.

I appreciated the updates. My experience was one of the easiest as I was able to use the SR 1040 format. I had my refund in about 10 days.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Solid program missing a couple important things

I have been using the program for several years and am generally happy with it. I was disappointed that it did not have the calculation for the situation when some of your Social Security income for the current year include payments for prior years. Turbo Tax and others have this computation. Also, the program is not clear in how RMDs from a Thrift Savings Plan should be treated for New Jersey state taxes.
Pros: Easy to prepare

I bought this software back in December. We have been using H&R software for a while. This year the software had some problems with it. It would not let e-file our taxes. A update came out in March and fixed the problem. All good now.
