Similar to turbotax but....

I bought this because my Friend indicated the online version was free. I did the download program. Not free to file state similar to turbotax. Questions were similar but when I was stuck such as charitable contributions area I could not get passed it unless I deleted the form. Could not deduct anyway because of not itemizing so what difference did it make. Also had a w2 with no state withholding and the program would not believe me. I don't like that you can't pick and choose specific pages to print and if you file the state you need federal with it since my State starts off from fed tax. Did not print entire state or fed returns pages for records or in my case to file the return as well. Turbotax has you beat in that case. State has a new credit that the question the software posed was very confusing because it asked about something on the state return that unless you can view the return at that point you have no idea whether to accept it ot not.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had tjree full downloads and every had different FAULTS, First time in a number of years but this was the last.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Software appears to have successfully completed my federal and state income taxes. However, in the HRBlock folder in Windows, there is only a link to the software, tax files are not kept there. I can download files from the software, file by file, but that does not show me the complete steps taken in preparing my taxes.

You need to fix the inherited IRA 1099 option so that deficient deduction can be deselected. The 1040 cannot be filled out accurately in line 4a when using life expectancy tables for the calculation.
