I have used the state and Fed tax software for years. Don.t remember oath conversion process being so convoluted as it was this year. Someone rally screwed the pooch. Also surprised at some of the document information carry overs. Seemed to use random files from my prior year history records for 2024 . Had to go through all information transfers to validate accuracy. since it passed the incorrect line 11 info. Not good.
Cons: Time consuming

I purchased HR Block Delue software and am disappointed. I found directions somewhat confusing and the only help was Ai who answered with "I can't help with this". I stillcannot find a phone # to call for help.

I used deluxe software and finished the return. Then the nightmare began. The desktop software would get to the e-file steps and crash. No one could help at hr block. “Delete app and reinstall”. Didn’t work and their support is awful. Long wait times and lots of apologies. Had to ultimately use taxact free online to efile. No one is willing to make it right either.
