I had problems with Turbo Tax and switched to H&R Block. Entry was fairly simple, but awkward to just be able to run a check on the return on a progressional basis. Not a big gripe, but why wait to the end to find minor errors and mistakes?

As a former Block preparer for 17 years I remain loyal to your product. It’s hard to only use the software once and then the next year it becomes a struggle to navigate all the software changes. Regardless of that, I still wouldn’t use any other software.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have been using the software for years. Since I retired I do not itemize anymore so the need for using a software package has diminished. This year I paid extra to submit mat state return online. When I was sending state return via mail, the refund would come in two weeks. Sending it online this year, it has been a month and the state still has not processed. I will go back to mailing it in next year.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

There were numerous problems in the Iowaa State program. Entry and addition errors on the forms, and error messages that did not reflect the actual errors.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
