My online purchase was fast and easy. Download went as expected and when I was ready to file, the update was also relatively quick. I always find the program easy to get through and even though I had a minor change, the extra time and questions were not extensive. After I electronically filed, my payments and refunds came quickly. This is a great tax program!

The software worked pretty well for me. My only issue - it indicated that one could request to receive a refund by check, though it would be a longer wait. But a letter from IRS seems to say that ALL refunds must be by direct deposit. My further research indicates that exceptions are only made when direct deposit is absolutely impossible. If that's true, your software needs to clarify its instructions.

I have bought this product for about 10 years now, but the 2025 version is not so good. Whenever I tried to update the product, I got a "cannot connect to server" error message. The message suggested that I go to the product update website and download the update. I did that, but it was an unnecessary step. And I had to do this step for every update.
And to make matter worse, I got the same error message when i tried to download the state version. I went to your website for the PA state download, but it never showed up. In fact as of today, the state version still doesn't show in the list of state. I kept playing around with your website and somehow (I'm not sure what I did) until I was able to download the PA state program.
I have no problems connecting to other financial websites, so I don't know what the problem really is. This error is very frustrating to deal with. I'm not sure that I will purchase the 2026 version or not. I don't want to deal with this hassle.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
