I have been using this software for about 15 years, I think.... it's the only tax software I have ever tried, and I was so pleased with it from Day 1, I never thought of switching. It makes the whole job so easy and fast! I always dread starting, but once I do, I am amazed at how little time it took to do the returns and efile them. This product is totally worth the money.

Somehow I must have made some mistake, although I have no idea how, and the software thought I had not accounted for my RMD from my IRA. It then wanted to add 10% in tax penalty. It wouldn't allow me to go back in the interview to where this may have happened and I had to find the form and edit it. It then gave me errors in the validation stage because I had edited the form. I got it all done, but it wasn't easy or helpful
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Software maker doesn't want to hear from customers

Perhaps a very low rating will allow my voice to be heard as a multi-decade customer, as there is no other way to get noticed. Two errors in the Deluxe program this year: (1) it would not let me update the signature date on the federal return, alowing nothing to be recorded. the state allowed the update. (2) the transmission success on the federal return efile did not print the relevant information (i.e. data, time, numbers, et al) on the printed version as was shown on the screen.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!
