Pretty easy and H&R walked me through the process. I hope it was done correctly. A couple place s I felt were not explained enough and online help just takes you to preset topics in general.

I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. The overall experience has been good, reliable, and accurate. BUT...experience with the state software package (Virginia) is not satisfactory. Virginia interview for Deductions to Income is incomplete for Education Contributions (529 Plans). Interview has a single amount but Virginia requires an itemized list of each separate account on Schedule ADJ and ADJS (if more than 3). Program does not allow any itemization only a single total which could cause an audit or loss of deduction. I opened a HR help desk trouble ticket 24 FEB 25 and have heard nothing on a solution. Without the fix the State package I purchased is worthless for filing my Virginia taxes.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Some easy, some difficult/frustrating sections.

This was my first time with your program. Much difficulty. No way to report that my RMD was given directly to my church. Some figures were imported from my financial company with no explanation making it look like I had huge capital gains (the amounts were NOT taxable, but looked like they were.) Your AI person was almost useless until it directed me to a human chat. On the plus side, I like electronic filing and I believe next year will be easier. At least I hope so.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
