THis was my first purchase of Deluxe with state. Overall pretty good and usual forms. A few observations.
- I did not see any significant difference between Deluxe and standard.
- I was disappointed after doing all the state info that i was going to be charged to e-file.
- I find the free ohio file to be just as easy and free
- As i am now 60, I would like a large text option and fill the screen on data interview entry.
- Nice new feature to take a picture of a W2 and auto load. But not yet available on other data entry like 1099R

I've used this for several years and it has worked well for me. I like the conversational mode to learn how to get through sections po the process that change from year to year, but also use the "goto" mode to get down to specifics. I also like the being able to import last year's data as a starting point, so as not to have to enter a lot of personal stuff. And I like the fact that none of my returns have been challenged by the feds or state. One thing that I don't like is that the program insists that certain obscure fields contain data, especially when the boxes aren't filled on 1099 forms I receive. They are a real diversion and require a lot of extra work to find the answers. And they are different every year.

You have to pay to file the state. I only did one federal so state filing should be included for no fee.

I have been using the Tax Cut software for years, especially after being "burned" by the "TurboTax" software several years ago! Due to errant filing procedures in the TurboTax software; my taxes for that particular year, was both rejected and audited (although I didn't have anything to hide!), which had NEVER happened up to that point. Just the inconvenience & delay; that year, was enough to switch to Tax Cut, and I have never turned back!
