I love this product, I have been using it for many years. However, this year I had to process an amended return and somehow the program submitted it before I was ready - then IRS accepted it - I am hoping that they will disregard it or reject it. I was able to submit the correct Amended Return, which was accepted and paid. So I am just waiting to see what happens with the incomplete Amended Return that was submitted.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

AI is no replacement for a live person!!

Option to talk to a live person is gone. It's been replaced by AI which can't even answer half of my questions. Support for ACA form is poor.

getting frustrated with HR Block software

We've used this software for many years (12+) but this may be the last. There is a form for West Virginia that is not in the software so the returns must be printed and mailed. This is the second year for this form and it's still not included in the software!
Additionally in 2025 we donated a vehicle but still took the standard deduction. The software states that we still have to mail the 1098C to the IRS even though it's not included in the calculation of our return and isn't listed on the return. Nonsensical.

Every time I filed electronically I was rejected twice. The electronic filing seemed confused. Maybe because I used turbo tax last year. It asked for last year pin and my spouses yearly earnings for last year. I finally switched to another program.
