When I tried to enter my brokers report for a publicly traded partnership, it announced this was too complex for the Deluxe package and I needed to consult a tax professional.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using the disk or online download for many years! The programs upload data from last years tax returns that is needed! Less hassle!
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I have been using the software for 10+ years. This year is the first time I had an issue, they were unable to resolve it, series of contacting them, promising that they will fix the issue, they didn't, terrible service, unbelievably bad, very frustrated. Feel free to reach out to me for additional details, it will be a long story clearly showing how bad of a service you have provided.
Cons: Time consuming
