This is the second time I've been double charged. It happened two years ago, and I went to another company last year. Had I not forgotten, I never would have signed up again. It sucks getting old.
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’ve been using your software for a number of years and was always satisfied until this year. The program went down while I was imputing my data and it took a few days to come back up. I lost over half the data I had imputed. The overall rating is just for this year.

I have been using HR Block software for the past 4 years and I think this is my last. This year I was really depending on getting my taxes filed early so I could get my $7,500 EV tax credit. I had all my taxes complete in mid-February but then had to wait until the software updated. The problem was every two weeks when the software updated, it was another unexpected delay. I eventually submitted my tax return 1.5 months later when the final update happened. Not what you want from your tax software, slowing down your refund. Maybe TurboTax or free submission from the IRS directly will be better next year.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used this software for the last 5 or so years and was always happy with its ease of use and its price. Doing my taxes in 2024 was stressful- trying to e-file the night of April 14th and the day of the 15th resulted in a "gateway error". Wasn't just me, numerous people were having the problem per social media postings. The server finally came up around 3pm, right after I printed out my return.
