I got a “bad gateway” message when I went to file on 4/15, yet apparently the gateway was good enough to charge me several times for subsequent attempted filings.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

With the exception of one year when there was a complicated inheritance issue, H&R has been my go to. Quick, easy for a low tech old man to understand, and reasonably priced.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
You do most things well. I use a lot of different forms. I am an IRS certified volunteer so I know alot about taxes already. I hate how EVERY SINGLE TIME I tried to send a return to the IRS, you would blow me out and update. Why not update when I start the software? And your charges for more than 5 returns is BOGUS because IRS will not allow me to send more than 5, so you are offering to pay for NOTHING.
I bought an EV and filed once and said that it was an HR block problem, with IRS. Was advised it would be a week, then delayed a second time and a third time. Really unacceptable . Will try a competitor next year
