This is the 2nd year I purchased your product I won't buy it again. I wasn't able to bring over last year information and when I submitted it to Federal it was rejected 3 times. Good thing I sent it in the mail for a back-up. And when I asked for assistance I was in line for over 2 hours and still didn't get the help I needed.
Cons: Hard to import documents

This does a great job on Fedeeral Returns for the most part. I get a form from Canada and filling out the extra form is cumbersome. If I have an Enterprize Zone credit for Colorado, it won’t do that at all.
I had a problem with my pin when filing. It did not get transferred over from 2022 and was blank. I opened my 2022 return, found the pin - I had to go through the entire "file my return" process, as it wasn't in my "prior year worksheet" location - and entered it into my 2023 return. My return was rejected by the IRS at least 3 times and my state return was on hold. Is there any way to cancel the e-file process? I wound up having to print out my return which means my return will be late and I will have to pay a late filing penalty. So, I probably won't be using your software next year.

I bought 3 Deluxe + State tax softwares. One for each of my two daughters and 1 for me. After using one for my daughter, I had issues getting the State program for the other 2 as the software was reading the wrong activation code. It took the activation code from the first software download.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

This software, although less expensive than Turbo Tax, requires more time to use. Goods: Less costly than the TurboTax equivalent. The not so goods: A) the checking software at the end, still shows a discrepancy even after you’ve reviewed it and confirmed the correct input. B) the system is unable to do basic things like: Look at the imported W-2 and determine whose W-2 it is. Example- my wife’s W-2 was imported. It showed her name, SSN and all essential information. The system required me to fill in her name and employer on a line directly below that same printed information from the imported W-2. Likewise, when I incorrectly stated my wife’s W-2 was mine, it was unable to determine that was an incorrect input. C) The system struggles with multiple stock sales, even if it is imported. Verdict: If you have a very basic need for tax software, then this will work. If your needs are a little more complicated, the system isn’t “smart” enough to work through your inputs and catch the errors, much less confirm you have checked off what it asked you to look at.
