It failed to do some forms that resulted in its recommendation of paper filing in the very last minute. Very disappointing. I had to remove the form for e-filing, resulting in substantial increase in taxes. Fix the problems before you sell the product please.

Bug had me pay for the state e-filing three times!

It has worked great for many years until it's not. This year, I had to change the filing status. When I submitted the Federal and State returns, IRS rejected my return. When I corrected an error based on the software's prompts and submitted that version by paying the State e-filing again, IRS rejected it again with the same error. I had to change the filing status to delete a form and submit the returns by paying the State e-filing fee the third time. That last returns got accepted.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After being on hold for 30 plus minutes, transfered from person to person, because everyone was clueless about the application. I ended up hanging up. I used the deduction assistant for donations. It didn't transfer the amount to the form properly which cause a continuous error that wouldn't allow me to electronically file until the error/software issue was fixed...ugh. I've used the software for years...every year there has been at least one issue.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare

We have been buying Deluxe + State for a few years now. The step-by-step questions are generally very easy to follow. For our simple return, it takes approx 3 hours from start to e-filing.
I have been using this software for 6 years now. The paths are easy to follow. Any the questions asked will lead you to the correct site to enter the data. I have been doing taxes for a CPA for the last 16 years. I have yet to run into a problem that can't be taken care of. I trust this software.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I tried to file using this software. My experience was not good. A lot of information was misleading and not accurate.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
