The last update to the tax forms was April 9, 2024 before electronically uploaded my files. I started the process in January. Why are you always so late in updating your forms? I could submit until you were done doing the forms. Also you failed to correctly calculate my school district income tax so now I have to pay again! Try to get this right the first time.

1) The program converted W2 income to Business Income and asked for Sched C data. I had difficulty deleting Sched C. 2) The program does not go to Form 8962 to calculate the Advanced Pmt of PTC and submit the form which the IRS required from me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This software had a severe problem with RMD. It appears to get lost within its calculations. It balked at letting my brother file his returns because he didn't satisfy the RMD demands of the software. My brother doesn't meet the age requirements for RMD.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The 2023 filing had a hiccup. It was very frustrating not being able file my taxes and being charged multiple times for trying to file. That being said, I was finally able to file my taxes and I was reimbursed for the multiple charges. I was happy to be able to electronically file.
I've used H&R every year as long as I can remember. The last 3-4 years, I switched to the download-and-install version for specific reasons. This year after spending hours making sure everything looked right, I had to endure the stress of receiving about 24 straight hours of "bad gateway" errors when trying to send my taxes. I owed money, so my payments to federal and state were tied up in this H&R server issue. I even started trying to transmit the day before on 4/14. On top of that, I had to sit there and watch about 20+ pending credit card holds show up for every attempt I made to eFile. This is the last year, I promise you.
