I got bad gateway error. Tried 4 times did not know I was getting charged for 2 state returns each time. Had to deal with my bank. A few nervous hours trying to decide if i leave work to start paper return and try to make it to post office.

I had to enter the W2's manually. The downloaded ones didn't transfer to the HSA section correctly, even though what was downloaded was correct in that section.
Program did not like the W2 form that my large employer sent so it would not allow electronic filing with that W2. Same thing happened last year with a similar issue but different form. Wasted DAYS and never got it solved.
Pros: Easy to import documents

The software did not handle gains and losses from sale of equities properly after importation from the Brokerage firm. I needed to complete that manually in order to correctly account for losses and to compute the correct tax liability. At the e-filing stage, the previous year's AGI value was completed automatically from last year's return and was not correct, resulting in rejection of both the Federal and state e-filing. I corrected that manually also. Software is confusing in many other aspects. For instance, indicating I needed to have an RMD from my retirement account ( not true). Also indicating a possible penalty for underpayment of taxes, but then if you due the calculations turn out no penalty is warranted. Because of errors and confusing interactions with the software, I am still not confident that my return is correct or that I didn't pay too much in taxes.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Good product but felt money wasted due to not being able to electronically submit on 4/14 or 4/15. Had to scramble to submit it by mail. I have very simple information that could have easily been done on paper but bought product for the electronic ability to submit.

Have been using this software for year’s. Couldn’t submit my taxes this year, their system was down. Horrible / late communication to customers on this issue!!

Have used this program for many years and so did my father. Have always been happy with performance of the software. Recently they are pushing the online product over the downloadable software… but, is that secure? This year, eFile was buggy and their servers were down for many, many hours on April 14 and 15… very hard to forgive. Will try the competition next year.
